Though Jenna Ortega is an extraordinary teenager, she struggles with body image issues and insecurities just like all of us!

The 13-year-old, who stars as Harley Diaz on Stuck In The Middle and voices Princess Isabel in Elena of Avalor, took to Instagram last week to talk about her challenges.

In the video, she urged her fans to embrace their flaws because those differences make you stand out. “Sometimes I wake up and I look in the mirror and I’m not happy with what I see,” she said. “Then I’ll go on Instagram and read these hate comments saying that I’m ugly, that my body looks weird in the photo that I posted, that I’m not pretty and it hurts.”

“I want you all to know that it doesn’t matter if you’re not perfect. You’re all beautiful just the way you are and none of us were meant to be perfect,” she continued.

She then encouraged each and every one of her followers to post a selfie with a caption explaining why they love themselves. In the last few days, she’s received tons of incredible and inspiring responses!
