Go Inside Jenna Ortega’s Inspiring Hollywood Journey

From toothpaste commercials to her own TV show!

At just 17 years old, Jenna Ortega is already a Hollywood veteran! From one of her earliest television commercials to landing her own Disney Channel series, to a critically-acclaimed role on Netflix’s You, it’ incredible to see how much the California girl has accomplished. Let’s take a look back at her journey thus far!

.Jenna’s showbiz career began when she was six years old and told her mom that she wanted to be in a TV commercial. A little while later, it happened:

Then she scored a guest starring role on the sitcom, Rob.

And if you saw The Little Rascals Save the Day, you watched Jenna rock overalls and play Mary Ann!

She also played hilarious best friend, Darcy, on the Netflix series Richie Rich.

But her real big break was her recurring role as young Jane on the CW’s Jane the Virgin.

Then, in 2016, Jenna got her Disney Channel wand when she landed her own show, Stuck in the Middle.

In 2017, we got to see her hosting talents, when she MC-ed the Radio Disney Music Awards *and* scored her own Radio Disney show. Jenna also made her music video debut playing Jacob Sartorius’ love interest in his “Chapstick” vid, which has racked up over 30 million views:

We were bummed when Stuck in the Middle got canceled, but we knew Jenna’s career was really just beginning! She starred in the indie film, Saving Flora.

But viewers really got to see Jenna’s amazing acting chops when she portrayed Ellie Alves in Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed Netflix drama, You.

Jenna’s also showcased her impressive talents as a voice actress. Since 2016, she’s played Princess Isabel on Disney Junior’s Elena of Avalor, and lended her voice on Netflix’s animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

Over the past year, her career has reached all-time highs, with starring roles in the box office smash, Scream, and the critically-acclaimed drama, The Fallout, which sees her character cope in the aftermath of a school shooting.
