The YSBnow It List: See the Top 17 Guys of 2017

They had fire years in 2016, & we predict that 2017 will be even hotter

THE 17 HOTTEST GUYS IN HOLLYWOOD

(under 17 category)

1. ZACH CLAYTON, 16

By following his dreams of being a singer (and overcoming the stigma that social media stars face), Zach inspired us all – and racked up millions of views in the process. “I’m excited about making more music and seeing what great opportunities this year will bring,” Zach tells us. “I can’t tell my supporters enough how much they mean to me for making this all possible and how hard I’ll work for them in the coming year.”

2. CARSON LUEDERS, 15

2016 saw Carson’s fandom surge, and we can’t wait to see what 2017 holds in store for the “Bae Back” singer. “I’m excited about getting new music and videos out and believe it’s gonna be the best year yet because I have my awesome fans there to support me,” he says. And what does Carson want those fans to know? “I just want to encourage people to put themselves out there,” he says. “Because everybody here in this world has a talent. Don’t be afraid of what people think, follow your dreams, and do what you love to do.”

3. MARK THOMAS, 15

Is Mark Thomas one of the top 17 guys in Hollywood? Duh! He had a meteoric rise to fame in 2016, but the 15-year-old teen from Pennsylvania remains humble. “I ordered pizza and the guy who delivered it picked on me in school,” he recently shared. “We talked for a minute and I gave him a $15 tip. We should all forgive people and be kind.” We can’t wait for more inspiration (and hopefully more music!) from Mark in 2017.

4. MARCUS SCRIBNER, 16

Los Angeles native Marcus Scribner trained and auditioned for years before landing the life-changing role of Andre Jr. on black-ish. His performance is not only hilarious, it’s also making a positive change in our society. “We’re able to bring important issues, such as racial injustice, into the homes of families where they’re able to discuss it,” he says. And when Marcus isn’t making an impact through the show, he’s making an impact on the environment, volunteering with organizations like The Beaches Resorts and Sandals Foundation and the Reserve Protection Agency. His best advice for you? “Don’t worry about what everybody else thinks ,” he says. “Worry about how you feel and how you make the people around you feel. Follow your dreams and be yourself – that can get you anywhere.”

5. JACE NORMAN, 16

Jace’s Nickelodeon movie, Rufus, was one of the top rated TV specials of 2016, and with a sequel on the way in 2017, Jace will continue to crush it. And even more impressive than his character’s superhero strength on Henry Danger is Jace’s real-life journey to fame. The 16-year-old overcame dyslexia and anxiety to achieve his acting dreams. “The main thing that keeps me going is at the end of the day, you have to stay strong,” he shares. “It’s always going to come down to you, what you make, how you change your mindset. As long as you don’t give up, you have a chance.”

6. GRIFFIN GLUCK, 16

Griffin literally brought us to tears with his powerful portryal of a teen grieving the loss of his brother in Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life. Then, he showed off his comedic timing in the hilarious holiday flick Why Me? alongside James Franco. In 2017, the Los Angeles native will lend his voice to the upcoming animated film, The Boxcar Children: Surprise Island. “Always keep trying,” he says. “Even if you don’t get one audition, there’s always going to be the next, and if you don’t get that one there’s the next one after that. Stay persistent, study your lines hard, and keep an upbeat attitude through it all.”

7. JACOB SARTORIUS, 14

In the last 6 months of 2016, Jacob Sartorius saw his Instagram followers nearly double – from 3.5 to 6.9 million! But for the Virginia native, it’s not about numbers, it’s about using those numbers to make a positive difference. “I want to make an impact on people’s lives,” he says. “It always means the most to me when people tell me I’ve helped them through something. For me, I’m in the situation where I’m helping a lot of people at once, but it can be your sister or your best friend – it’s just good to know you’re making a difference.” And with the release of his debut EP and a worldwide tour, Jacob will continue making a difference in 2017. “Don’t be afraid to pursue what you want,” he says. “At first you have to make the big step, but you shouldn’t be afraid to make the big step.”

8. ALEX ANGELO, 16

We always knew Alex Angelo as a phenomenal dancer and performer, but 2016 saw him debut his incredible producing and songwriting skills. In early December, he gifted Fangelos with his latest EP, Stay Like This, for FREE. “It’s as real and personal for me as it gets,” he said. “There’s some adversity that went into this music. I hope that people connect with it as much as I do.”

9. DARIUS KALEB, 13

Darius Kaleb has been dazzing Broadway audiences for years, but in 2016, his portryal of Lonnie in Netflix’s critically-acclaimed series, Luke Cage, won him rave reviews from millions of viewers. “I’m so thankful for the love and support,” he says. We’re crossing our fingers to see Darius reprise his role in Season 2 of the hit series, and counting down the days til he releases his debut EP.

10-13. THE CAST OF STRANGER THINGS

CALEB MCLAUGHLIN (15), NOAH SCHNAPP (12), FINN WOLFHARD (14)

& GATEN MATARAZZO (14)

In 2016, Caleb, Noah, Finn, and Gaten soared to international superstardom with the release of their Netflix series, Stranger Things. And they’ll kick off 2017 at the Golden Globe Awards, where the show is nominated for Best Drama. Plus, each of the guys have their own film projects coming in 2017 and 2018! And while you’re countdown down to the premiere of Season 2, you can catch Caleb’s exclusive YSBnow cover story and photo shoot, coming in January!

14. JOHNNY ORLANDO, 13

Johnny isn’t just one of the sweetest guys in young Hollywood; he’s also one of the most hardworking. 2016 saw him soar to the top of the charts and rack up millions of new fans. He also got nominated for a Teen Choice Award! As for his 2017 plans? “I’m working on a big music project, which will be coming out in the first half of the year,” he says. “I also might just be going back on tour again, which is super exciting!” Fans aren’t just falling in love with Johnny’s music; they’re also falling in love with his message. “It doesn’t take a pound of makeup to be beautiful,” he says. “It doesn’t take fancy clothes to be beautiful. Just remember that you’re so beautiful right now.”

15. ASHTON ROWLAND, 10

He may be the youngest on our list, but in 2016, the ten-year-old embarked on world tours with his big brothers, Brandon and Hunter, and racked up nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram. In 2017, the #TeamRowlandTour will hit the road again, and fans can see Ashton and his bros add singing and dancing to their set. “I love my fans,” he says. “I can’t wait to meet everyone!”

16. BRANDON ROWLAND, 14

In 2016, Brandon went from a regular student to a social media superstar. “It’s been a pretty crazy year,” he says. “When we did our first Rowland event, I was like, ‘This is crazy.’ The love from our supporters touches my heart.” And in the coming year, Brandon hopes to expand his talents. “For 2017, I for sure want to make music and I really love acting,” he says. “That’d be pretty awesome.” Yes it would be! Stay tuned for our exclusive video interview with Brandon, coming this Tuesday to YSBnow.

17. HUNTER ROWLAND, 15

When you see Hunter Rowland’s millions of followers, it’s crazy to think that his first YouNow broadcast only had a single viewer. “It was this one girl,” he says. “And she was like, ‘You’re really cute.’ I got really excited and kept broadcasting.” Those first few broadcasts led to world tours and an incredible 2016 that Hunter describes as the craziest year of his life. And he knows it’s all thanks to you guys. “I just want you to know that you’re so beautiful now,” he says. “Sometimes life gets really hard, but you gotta know that you’re beautiful. No matter what anyone tells you, keep going because it’s going to get better.”
