Mona and Ali back in action? Get ready for “The Perfectionists.”
Even though “Pretty Little Liars” ran seven incredible seasons on ABC Family/Freeform, we have to admit that we were still a bit bummed to see the show officially wrap up earlier this year. Luckily, there is still more to the story, and we will soon be able to hear it! Actresses Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish have officially joined on to a new Freeform spinoff series called “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,” created by PLL’s showrunner I. Marlene King and original book author Sara Shepard.
Both Sasha and Janel will be reprising their fan-favorite roles, which means Ali and Mona are going to be up to unbelievable new adventures.
“I’m beyond excited,” Marlene shared about this new series. “I can’t wait to introduce our fans — and Sasha and Janel — to a new world of thrills and chills in Beacon Heights.”
We all know that Rosewood was filled with drama, mystery, and lies, but this new show will take us to different levels in Beacon Heights.
“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be,” Freeform has shared about the series. “The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.”
If you recall, this is the second PLL spinoff to happen: the first was “Ravenswood” starring Tyler Blackburn, which ran from 2013 to 2014. We can’t wait to see how this version develops!
