Learn all about the actress’ inspiring new DoSomething campaign.
Did you know that 1 in 8 people worldwide struggle with hunger? That includes 13 million children and teens across the United States, and 2.5 million in Canada. With statistics like that, you would think that there would be absolutely zero instances of food waste in the world. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. In fact, if we were able to recover all of the food we waste, we’d be able to feed 84% of the planet’s human population. Isn’t that unbelievable?
Actress AnnaSophia Robb teamed up with DoSomething.org and General Mills on their “Feeding Better Futures” campaign, which highlights all the facts we just shared with you. She also makes us all re-think the many ways we can use perfectly good food before tossing it out.
As part of her involvement in the campaign, AnnaSophia created a video called “The Anti-Food Waste Kitchen.” It’s like a fun cooking show… but spotlights the important cause. And, she shows us how you can make small changes to start a big impact.
