This #FitnessFriday, see how Demi self-motivates!
Demi Lovato is one of our favorite go-to celebs when it comes to getting fitness inspiration. The singer is constantly sharing gym pics and inspiring videos from her days with physical trainers. While she’s motivating us though, we can’t help but wonder where she finds the drive and energy to actually tackle those big fitness goals she has.
It is not the thought of super long hours at the gym that gets Demi hyped for her workouts, though.
“It’s knowing how great I’m going to feel after,” she told People StyleWatch. “I always feel more energized when I exercise in the morning — it helps me throughout the day.”
Demi also shared that some of her favorite workout routines are an extension of who she is as a person, which helps her find passion and drive.
“I train in mixed martial arts which is a combination of kickboxing, jiujitsu and Muay Thai,” she said. “I’ve always been a fighter, so being able to do that is a real outlet for me.”

Demi recently hit a personal fitness milestone that you may not have even caught. She posed a tummy-baring selfie that shows off her belly button. And while it may not be a big deal to her fans, she admits this was a big insecurity she’s dealt with.
“I rarely post pics with my belly button showing because I’m normally insecure about showing my full stomach but I’ve been working really hard,” Demi shared.
“Thanks to @d.leith and his yummy food with @lockhartandleith I’ve been seeing progress so I thought I’d post this cause I’m feeling myself right now!! ??????????,” Demi added.
“Also can’t forget the best gym in the world @unbreakableperformance and my trainers @fatenginethatdoes & @itskimglass ??.”
Way to go, Demi! There’s nothing wrong with being confident — a wise singer once told us that!
