When we first saw Dominique Fishback, she dazzled us with a spoken word performance at the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Gala back in 2014. And over the past year, with roles in the upcoming films The Hate U Give and Night Comes On, Dominique’s become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young stars. And this post she shared earlier today on Instagram just made us love her even more – and remember why it’s so important to follow your dreams and never doubt yourself.

The above photo was taken in the bathroom at Regal Cinemas in New York City, where Dominique used to work.

“I had to pop popcorn for people to watch movies when I was just wanting to be in them,” she shared.

And she’s planning to see her upcoming movie, “The Hate U Give,” which also stars Amandla Stenberg and Sabrina Carpenter, at the very same theatre. How awesome is that?
