Here’s How Rowan Blanchard Got Her Role In “A Wrinkle In Time”
The power of putting positive energy out there into the universe!
Whether you love ’em or dread ’em, everyone who goes through school has to write them. Yep, we’re talking about book reports. Sometimes book reports are an incredible way to express all of the thoughts and feelings you have after reading a captivating book, and sometimes you stay up into the wee hours of the night trying to come up with ANYTHING to say before class. But did you know that they are also partly to thank for Rowan Blanchard’s latest film role?
That’s right! Rowan will be hitting big screens as part of the highly-anticipated new movie “A Wrinkle In Time.” And as she explained in a new interview with W magazine, she credits reading the book in elementary school to her snagging the part!
“I read the book in third grade and did a book report on it, but my character isn’t in the book. It is really exciting and surreal,” she explained. “Ava [DuVernay] and I followed each other on Twitter, and I wrote her this birthday message that I sent to her manager. When I found out she was casting for this movie, I told the universe, ‘I need to be a part of this in anyway that you see fit.’ I got a call to read for this part and I got it.”
Okay, how amazing is it that Rowan put that positive energy out there into the universe — and worked hard to make her dream casting happen?
“A Wrinkle In Time” hits theaters on March 9, and we can’t wait to see this fierce, all-star cast come together!
