Here’s How You Can Celebrate The Upcoming Release Of “Beauty and the Beast”
The countdown is on!
In just a few days, the wait will finally be over! That’s right, Beauty and the Beast will finally be out in theatres! The film, which stars Emma Watson, has been highly anticipated, and it totally makes sense why! Not only is the film beloved, but there have been modern twists that were added to the classic storyline to make it special for the audience! As a nod to feminism, instead of Belle serving as an assistant to her father, she is now developing her own machines! Director Bill Condon even revealed in an interview that it was important to include a scene regarding Lefou’s sexuality, “It may have been a long time coming but this is a watershed moment for Disney…By representing same-sex attraction in this short but explicitly gay scene, the studio is sending out a message that this is normal and natural.”
Knowing that the cast and crew worked hard to make the story more relatable and modern definitely makes us even more excited! To celebrate that the movie’s release is just a few days away, we put together a list of things you can do before you see the film!
One of the best ways to prep yourself for the movie is to watch the trailer! It’s the first glimpse we have at seeing Emma Watson as Belle, which is so exciting!
If you live near Disneyland, you’ll have to check out the Red Rose Tavern! For a limited time, the restaurant is hosting a bunch of “Beauty and the Beast” themed meals!
If you live in Florida, celebrate at the exquisite Be Our Guest restaurant! The location has many photogenic spots to make for an epic backdrop in any photo! Plus, just like Disneyland, they have special edition Enchanted Rose souvenir cups!
We don’t know about you, but one of the first things that comes to mind when we think of “Beauty and the Beast” is the famous theme song! John Legend and Ariana Grande performed the song for the live-action film, and it sounds amazing!
As excited as we are to see the live action feature, we can’t forget about the animated version! To refresh our memory, we are definitely going to watch this before we head to the theatre!
Now that you have prepared for the big release, it’s time to get all your pals and make your plans to go see the movie together!
