Do you suffer from anxiety? Well, you’re not alone: 25% of teens and 30% of all teen girls struggle with it, too. And according to a recent study, women are almost twice as likely to experience anxiety than men. It’s nothing to be ashamed of – celebrities like Ellie Goulding and Camila Cabello have opened up about their own experiences with the condition, proving that everyone has their own fair share of mental health struggles.
There are lots of ways to treat the condition – therapy, psychiatry, and meditation to name a few, but sometimes it’d be nice to address all on our own. Well, good news: there might be a way to.
According to a recent study, yoga can help treat symptoms of anxiety, providing an alternative solution for those who struggle with the condition. It’s not necessarily a cure, but it’s definitely a start: yoga is known to improve concentration, reduce stress and calm and center the nervous system, so why not give it a try?
