The actress even named a pair after her “Lizzie McGuire” character!
Do you have a love-hate relationship with your glasses? Because I sure do. I am usually proud to rock my frames, and express my style with my lenses. But every so often I get so tired of their look. A lot of times, glasses frames are way too expensive to be constantly changing them up as I would like. Which is how I have ended up wearing the same outdated pairs until they literally fall apart.
Luckily, actress Hilary Duff has created a chic and super-affordable collection of prescription glasses AND sunglasses – that are all shoppable online for about $100 or less each.
“My new eyewear collection with @GlassesUSA is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited!” Hilary posted on her Instagram, announcing the Muse x Hilary Duff line for GlassesUSA.com. “I designed the collection with every woman in mind. My vision was to create stylish glasses at affordable prices for all face shapes and skin tones, so there is something for everyone. I want to empower women to use glasses to express themselves, their uniqueness and to be proud of who they are. So open your eyes, see the beauty in yourself, be your own MUSE!!”
We love that Hilary is letting us glasses-wearers show off our most creative sides on a budget, But we also are obsessed with the fact she has named each frame after a powerful woman in history. When you shop the collection, you’ll see names like “Marilyn” (for Marilyn Monroe), “Ruth” (for Ruth Bader Ginsburg), “Jane” (for Jane Austen) and many more.
“It’s from women in history that have really made their stamp on the world,” Hilary told People about this unique choice. “We’re in a really great time for women… I feel like women are really getting to stand in the front. Naming them, it kind of came to me — just the inspiration was wanting women to feel confident.”
There is even a “Lizzie,” frame – which is a AMAZING nod to her popular throwback Disney Channel show, “Lizzie McGuire.” She even called it her “favorite” of the collection, and I went and ordered a pair without even properly thinking it over. I’ll let you know how it goes.
