But this year, those silly, quirky, and cozy sweaters can actually help you give back to a great cause. As Olivia Holt shared on her Instagram, Kmart is teaming up with St. Jude’s for a fun social media moment.

“It’s time to one up each other with your ridiculous ugly Christmas sweaters! I challenge you all to take a selfie of your ugly sweater…all while raising money for the amazing kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” the actress posted along with instructions on how you can get involved. “Upload your photo, tag @StJude and @Kmart, using #UglySweaterforBetter & Kmart will donate $1 to St. Jude. The more selfies shared by you and your friends, the more money raised.”
