#ThriftShopThursdays: How To Find The Hottest Threads For Way Less

YSBnow Fashion Editor Brooke Reveals Her Top Thrifting Tips!

Hey #YSBnowFam!

I’m Brooke and I’m YSBnow’s resident shopping queen. I absolutely love shopping and always have, and I’m all about ballin’ on a budget. Thrifting isn’t just limited to your local Salvation Army or Goodwill store. There are a ton of consignment boutiques that are super nice, and one of my personal faves is Plato’s Closet.

Thrifting has been around basically forever, BUT it hasn’t been a trend until now. Celebs like Madison Pettis and Skai Jackson swear by thrifting.

Today, I’m going to share my latest finds with you so you can see how much you can save!

1.Gap Turtleneck

My mom actually tried this sweater on first and didn’t think it looked good on her. She told me it wouldn’t look good on me either so naturally I had to put that to the test and try it myself. I loved it! It’s super cozy and I love the color! The condition was just like new which is sold here for $35. I scored this sweater for only $8!

2. Club Monaco Mock Neck Tee

I saw this sweatshirt like tee on the rack and it was so soft and very nice quality so I immediately wanted it. Then I realized it was Club Monaco! This is a store I won’t even step foot in, let alone be able to afford to shop there, so I was so happy to score this for $10 instead of the $129.50 it was originally priced at!

Side note, the one I bought is identical to this one, which is men’s, oh well!

3. Express Sheer Velvet Polka Dot Crop Top

I’m really excited to style this sheer top over my many bralettes, it’s a pretty big trend right now! This top was new with tags and I only paid $7 for it!

You can get a similar style here for $40.

4. Franco Sarto Motor Boots in Electric Blue

I’ve wanted navy suede boots for some time now, I have no idea why but I just did! I saw this pair on the shelf and in my size so I had to try them on. They were brand new and only $14. Plus, they fit me so perfectly. When I went to see what brand they were I saw the name Franco Sarto. For those of you who don’t really know designer names, I’ll just tell you that these boots sold for $130 at Macy’s in 2014!

Since then, Franco Sarto came out with a new style, similar to the Motor boots for $169 and currently on sale for $150 here.
