What Taylor Swift Did For This Fan Will Warm Your Heart

On Taylor Swift’s new app, The Swift Life, fans from all over the world can connect with each other and Tay herself – creating profiles, making posts and sending the singing-songwriting superstar secret messages! On Thursday, longtime Swiftie Stephanie took to the app to tell a story of her own.

During Tay’s 1989 Tour in 2015, Stephanie went to see her in Manchester, England. At the time, she was pregnant and homeless. Her apartment had been condemned for health and safety reasons and, soon after, her husband lost his job. Wanting her daughter to “feel special” that night despite all the hardship she was facing, Stephanie’s mom reached out to Tay for help. Ms. Swift responded and did something incredible.

After the show, Tay took Stephanie backstage into her dressing room and said she wanted to give her back the money she’d spent on her concert ticket. “What she actually did was help us buy a home and all I needed for my baby,” explains Stephanie. “She told me, ‘You’ve been in my life for a long time and you’ve never asked me for anything. I want you to be able to enjoy your little girl, not have to worry about all this stuff.’”
