Six-year-old Lex and her brother, Frank, are really close. Frank was born with autism, which unfortunately, not all people understand. After a classmate called him “weird,” Lex refused to stay silent and felt compelled to write the following letter to her school council:

It’s stunning to see how much wisdom a six-year-old can hold. “I would like it if we could learn about disabilities so that everybody understands that some people are different, but we should all be treated the same,” she wrote. SO! MUCH! YES! 

Lex’s mom shared the letter on Facebook – and now, instead of just making a difference at her school, Lex’s words are having a global impact!
