Who doesn’t love a good (DUN DUN) Law & Order: SVU marathon?
Olivia Benson is, of course, one of the most badass characters in television history. But whether I’m watching old episodes on cable or binging more recent seasons on Peacock, I also live for my “Wait…that’s [insert famous celeb here]” moments. So while I eagerly await SVU’s Season 27 premiere, I put together a list of 10 actors, musicians – and one boxer – who all guest starred on the iconic franchise.
1. Sabrina Carpenter – Season 12, Episode 12: “Possessed”
Believe it or not, this SVU episode marked Sabrina’s very first acting role, where she played a young victim named Paula. In 2024, she said that everyone on set was so nice, it made her want to continue acting.
2. Peyton List
Did you know that Peyton List was actually in the same episode as Sabrina? The Cobra Kai star played the younger version of an abuse victim.
3. Madison Pettis – Season 19, Episode 4: “No Good Reason”
She’s currently starring in the #1 movie on Netflix, but in 2017, Madison made her SVU debut. She played Stacey in an episode centered around a teenager who disappears after a vicious cyberbullying attack by her classmates.
4. Keke Palmer – Season 7, Episode 10: “Storm”
In 2005, Keke played Tasha, the eldest of three girls who were abducted from New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.Tasha and her sisters were taken to New York City by a man who claimed to have rescued them. In past interviews, Keke has shared that she’s an SVU superfan and that Mariska Hargitay was really sweet to both her and her mom! Keke, can we pllleeeeeeeaaasssseee get a Benson cameo in the One of Them Days sequel!
5. Logan Paul – Season 16, Episode 14: “Intimidation Game.”
Before he was taking out opponents in the boxing ring, Logan Paul got taken out on a rooftop by Detective Fin Tutuola (Ice T) in a 2015 episode.
6. Jennette McCurdy – Season 6, Episode 11: “Contagious”
While she first became famous for her comedic skills, Jennette showcased her dramatic acting chops in this 2005 SVU episode. Around three years later, the world would meet her as Sam in the world premiere of Nickelodeon’s iCarly.
7. Ricky Garcia – Season 26, Episode 10: “Master Key”
Earlier this year, Ricky Garcia of Best Friends Whenever and Forever In Your Mind fame, delivered a heart-wrenching performance as Anthony, a teen abuse victim. “What this role did for me was on another level of healing that I never expected to experience,” he shared. “I’ve never had such an impactful moment like this in my entire career.”
8. Lili Reinhart – Season 13, Episode 9: “Lost Traveler”
In 2011, Lili guest starred as queen bee Courtney in a very memorable episode. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lili shared that she was binging the show and joked that she needed to play more villains. We agree!
9. Hilary Duff – Season 10, Episode 19: “Selfish”
In this “Ripped from the Headlines” episode, Hil earned rave reviews for her portrayal of a young mother who becomes the prime suspect after the disappearance of her toddler. “Hilary Duff was on,” said Ice T. “She did a thing.”
10. Jesse McCartney – Season 10, Episode 6: “Babes”
Before he was dazzling us on TikTok with his Judge Judy impersonations, Jesse faced the legal system in a different way, as a teen accused of murdering his girlfriend on SVU. Just like his third album, he’s described the role as a Departure.
But we’ve gotta mention that this wasn’t the “Beautiful Soul” singer’s first foray into the Law and Order universe. In 2000 (yes, this was during his Dream Street era) Jesse guest starred on the OG show that inspired the ultimate spinoff – Law & Order: SVU!
Don’t miss the Season 27 premiere of Law and Order: SVU, next Thursday at 9/8c on NBC. In the meantime, you can stream all of these episodes on Peacock!
