BREAKING “Andi Mack” News: Inside Cyrus’ Season 2 Journey

Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more excited!

We’ve been anxiously awaiting new episodes of Andi Mack ever since the Season 1 finale. And the Season 2 sneak peek over the summer got us even more excited!

Our favorite thing about the show (in addition to its absolutely incredible cast) is how it addresses real-life issues that teens go through in a really genuine and honest way. And the news that was revealed earlier today confirmed that we’ll continue to see important themes explored during Season 2, as Cyrus (Joshua Rush) will begin to realize that he’s gay, and open up to his BFF, Buffy (Sofia Wylie), about his feelings in Friday night’s one-hour premiere.

Starting conversations about trust, love, relationships and family dynamics is easier when you have a show that you can relate to. Andi Mack gives young people and their parents, mentors, and champions a meaningful way to talk about these topics and the power to decide their futures. I’m so proud to bring Cyrus’ groundbreaking storyline to life and for you to see what we’ve been working on. 

We can’t wait, Joshua! Congrats to you and the amazing cast – we can’t think of anyone better to tell this important story.
