BEST. HALLOWEEN. EVER.
Don’t we all wish we could visit the towns of our favorite Halloween movies? Can you imagine being able to hang with the Sanderson Sisters or with Jack Skellington and his gang of ghouls?
Well, what if we told you, you could?
We all remember Halloweentown. With it’s magical pumpkin in town square and it’s quaint little charm for ghouls and ghosts, it’s no wonder that Disney chose St. Helens, Oregon as the backdrop for it’s 1998 classic Halloween movie.
Good thing for us, the people of St. Helens decided to live past the 90s and come together every October to transform their town back into the magical place it was.
If you happen to be in the area this October, St. Helens invites you to participate in their month-long festival “Spirit of Halloweentown”.
Activities include getting spooked in haunted houses, town tours, pumpkin carving contests, and you can even meet Marnie herself! The actress who played the young witch, Kimberly Brown, is scheduled to make an appearance.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the sleepy little town for the festivities. St. Helens continues to celebrate the movie every October. So, remember, there’s always next year!
