Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse!

Today is Mickey Mouse’s 88th Birthday and that is some cause for celebration! On November 18, 1928, Mickey Mouse made his first appearance on screen and has been bringing us joy and laughter ever since. 

What has become the most iconic and memorable character in both Disney’s history and probably our lives was actually supposed to be named “Mortimer Mouse,” but Walt Disney’s wife, ink artist Lillian Disney, suggested that “Mickey” might be a better fit.
