It’s going to be your new fave obsession.
Do you miss seeing Lilimar on Nickelodeon ever since “Bella and the Bulldogs” ended? Well, then you’ll LOVE hearing about her latest role as “Sage” in the upcoming live-action comedy series for the network, called “Knight Squad.”
The show “is set at a magical school for knights in training, where two mismatched students form an unlikely alliance to protect each other’s secret and pursue their dreams,” and is set to start production this fall, according to a Nickelodeon description. Not only does that sound incredible, but there are some solid reasons why we can already tell that the series will be one of our faves.
First off, “Knight Squad” was created and will be executive produced by Sean Cunningham & Marc Dworkin, who are the executive producers of another one of our favorite Nick shows: “The Thundermans”! Plus, the series is bringing together several familiar faces to create one all-star cast.
Along with Lilimar, the show will star “100 Things To Do Before High School” actor Owen Joyner, “Legendary Dudas”‘ Daniella Perkins, and “Liv and Maddie”‘s Amarr M. Wooten.
The cast also includes “Modern Family” actress Lexi DiBenedetto along with “Santa Hunters”‘ Kelly Perine.
“Liv and Maddie” creator John D. Beck also just announced on Twitter that he will be working on the series!
Nickelodeon has already picked up 20 episodes of “Knight Squad,” which means we can expect a lot of action from the first season.
The cast is already super close: plus, they debuted walking the red carpet of the recent Kids’ Choice Sports Awards together!
Lilimar shared that her character Sage is an evil one (something she’s always wanted to play!) … and can’t wait to see how she evolves.
And she shared that kids, teens, and families alike will enjoy the magical, dragon-filled series.
Daniella, who plays Ciara, is simultaneously working on an upcoming Nick movie called “Inside Voice” with Jace Norman and JoJo Siwa.
But Daniella revealed she just got her “Knight Squad” production schedule, so filming is officially on the horizon!
The Nickelodeon family is already showing their support for “Knight Squad.” “The Thundermans” actress Kira Kosarin told the cast they’re in for a wild ride!
We can’t wait to hear more updates about this fun project!
