Last Week, Sofia Met Drake – & Now, She Has a New Heart!

This story just keeps getting more and more amazing

Two huge dreams just came true for Sofia Sanchez, an 11-year-old girl from the Chicago suburbs. One of her big wishes was to meet Drake, one of her all-time favorite artists. Her second was to be matched with a donor so she could receive the heart transplant she’s been waiting for.

Just last week, the star was in Chicago for a show, and was able to make a surprise visit to see Sofia personally and hang out with her for the day.

Drake posted some photos snapped while meeting with his young fan on Instagram, sharing that they spent time “talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball.” How sweet is that?

But after meeting Drake, Sofia’s luck continued. In a viral video capturing the emotional moment, Sofia learned that she was officially going to be getting a new heart!

Sofia just had her heart surgery yesterday, and so far she’s doing well. We wish her all the best in her recovery!
