Six days ago, actress and activist Rowan Blanchard sparked a campaign with a single tweet: “So important 4 our gen to be a voice of hope/change & learn from each other. Hoping we continue to have that chance #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4.”

Of course, her 500,000+ Twitter followers responded. Just look up the hashtag and you’ll get a sense for how many people are desperate for this beloved series to continue.

If you’re rolling your eyes right now, I wouldn’t: ABC’s Nashville was on its deathbed until fans started a petition and began tweeting #SaveNashville—and that’s exactly what TV executives did, finding it a new home on Country Music Television. (The new season premieres in January.)
