See How This Bow Tie Designer is Helping Dogs Get Adopted!

Darius Brown’s story will hit you right in the feels

When he was just eight years old, Darius Brown started designing bow ties, and soon found himself with a thriving business! His designs could even be seen in shows at New York Fashion Week.

But if there’s one thing Darius loves as much as bow ties, it’s dogs. And so when he learned that dogs were being displaced due to Hurricane Irma and Harvey, he decided to use his talents to make a difference. Darius started donating bow ties to animal shelters in his home state of New Jersey and surrounding areas. 

“I just love, love dogs,” he says. “These dogs need to be adopted, and I want to help them get noticed.”

Thanks to Darius, the dogs are getting noticed – and he even found himself getting noticed – by President Barack Obama!
