Shailene Woodley Opens Up About Peaceful Protest

“One day, baby, we’ll sing our poetry”

It’s been a whirlwind of a week for Shailene Woodley. After being arrested for trespassing during a peaceful protest against the Dakota Access pipeline, it’s no wonder she’s been silent on social media.  Her Fault in Our Stars family was quick to show their support on Twitter. 

After being released on Tuesday, Shailene rejoined the Dakota protest and shared a message of camaraderie with her fellow protesters.

The caption reads: “One day, baby, we’ll sing our poetry. The words dripping from our tongues ripened with patience. And the lyrics, the sweet fruits born from the seeds of our aging hands are now sowing.”

Shailene is such a strong person for standing up for what she believes in and never backing down. We hope she continues to fight for what is right.
