Summer Vacation Tips: How To Get The Most Out Of Your Theme Park Trips

Your summer vacay just got a whole lot better!

One of our fave parts about summer time is being able to go to check out our fave theme parks! Living in Southern California means we have Disneyland and Universal Studios at our fingerprints, so we know a few tricks on how to ensure we get the most out of our visit! And now we want to share them with you! 

Read below to see how you can enjoy the two theme parks to the fullest! 

DISNEYLAND

One of the first things you should do when you enter the park is get fast passes for the rides that always have long lines! Why wait for 120 minutes when you can wait 10 minutes?!

If you want to kill two birds with one stone, stop by the Character Buffet Breakfast at Plaza Inn! Not only will you get to enjoy the infamous Mickey Waffles (and banana caramel sauce!), but you will get to hang with your fave characters all in one spot!

Want a refreshing Dole Whip but don’t want to have to wait in the long line? Well, head inside to the Tiki Room and they have their own line for the sweet treat! Now, you get to enjoy a show AND a yummy Dole Whip! Score!

Make sure to listen to what Roz is saying at the end of the Monsters Inc ride because she is ALWAYS watching the guests on the ride and she makes sure to have actual conversations with them at the end! The convos with Roz always leave us cracking up!

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Everyone is going to rush right into Harry Potter World, so head to the Lower Lot to experience the rides down there first! The lines for Harry Potter tend to be shorter towards mid-day, so that will be the best time to go!

Although Panda Express may sound good because it is familiar, it is actually way more expensive at the theme park! Instead of spending $10-12 on a small meal here, spend your money on a meal from Moe’s Burgers or Three Broomsticks!

Have a sweet tooth? Well, this right here is the best of both worlds! Enjoy one of the most famous treats from the Simpson’s with some ice cream!

Wanting to sit down and relax but not miss out on the rides? The Studio Tour is the way to go! Plus, movies and television shows are always filming on the lot, so you may see some of your fave stars!

LA is known for its’ traffic, so if you want to kill some time before you head home, stop at the newly renovated Universal Cinemas and catch a movie!
