Transformation Tuesday: R5 Concert Footage – 2009 vs. 2015!

We did a little digging & found one of the band’s earliest performances!

While doing a little research for Rocky’s YSBnow cover story, which goes live tomorrow at 5 PM EST, we stumbled across this gem. It’s R5 all the way back in 2009, covering Jet’s “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” with Rocky on lead vocals. Riker told us it’s actually one of the first three songs that he, Rocky, and Ellington jammed out to at the Lynch’s California home, so this is pretty rad. Watch that, then check out their performance of “F.E.E.L. G.O.O.D.” from August’s show at the Greek Theatre. So inspiring to watch how hard they’ve worked and how much they’ve grown over the past six years. We’d love to see them revisit Jet’s song at an upcoming concert. Consider that our official request! LOL!
