#StreamingScoop: Meet the Cast of “The Baby-Sitters Club” Reboot

The new show, based on the classic book series, is coming soon to Netflix!

The Baby-Sitters Club is back! Last year, Netflix announced they’d be bringing Ann M. Martin’s iconic characters to life in a brand new reboot of the classic book series, which follows the adventures of five BFFs who launch their own babysitting company.

While the premiere date has yet to be announced, Netflix revealed the five fabulous young women who will be bringing our favorite characters to life. Check them out!

1. Sophie Grace as Kristy
The Philadelphia native got her start in theatre and booked the first role she ever auditioned for, 2018’s Lifetime flick “Terror in the Woods.” Fun fact: She loves puppies as much as we do!
2. Malia Baker as Mary-Anne
After snagging guest starring roles on “The Flash” and “A Million Little Things,” Malia makes her Netflix debut on TBC. “I’m SO excited to finally say that I’m playing Mary Anne Spier,” she tweeted. “I am honored and can’t wait to tell you more!”
3. Momona Tamada as Claudia
Does Momona look familiar? That’s because she played young Lara Jean in “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.” Fun fact: She’s been dancing competitively since she was four years old!
4. Shay Rudolph as Stacey
“Am I dreaming?” Shay asked her Instagram followers when Netflix announced the cast. “The secret is finally out!!” But this isn’t Shay’s first big role: She shared the screen with Chandler Kinney (“Zombies 2”) on Fox’s “Lethal Weapon.”
5. Xochitl Gomez as Dawn
Everyone will soon know Xochitl as a member of The Baby-Sitters Club, but in real life, she’d definitely be in the theatre club! Xochitl’s Instagram is filled with faves like Rent, Hamilton, and Dear Evan Hansen.
