Cameron Boyce Has a New ‘Spider-Man’ Role
This is so exciting!
Fresh off the wild success of “Descendants 2,” Disney Channel actor Cameron Boyce has another exciting new role to share with us all! It was just announced that he has lent his voice to a character in the animated “Marvel’s Spider-Man” universe!
“Descendants2 star @TheCameronBoyce guest stars in an upcoming episode of @Marvel’s #SpiderMan as Herman Schultz, a young scientist auditioning for a coveted spot at Osborn Academy,” Disney Channel announced on Instagram, sharing some photos of Cameron working in the studio and some character sketches.
Luckily, we don’t even have to wait that long to see this role come to life.
Cameron’s character Herman is a “driven young scientist who creates new, wearable technology with his best friend Clayton Cole,” reports TVLine. In his episode, which will air on Disney XD on August 26, Herman will apply for “Osborn Academy, pitting him against Clayton for a coveted spot at the prestigious school for geniuses.”
This sounds awesome!
Disney Channel shared a behind-the-scenes gallery featuring Cameron’s work.
Cameron isn’t the first Disney alum to appear in a ‘Spider-Man’ role: not only was Zendaya recently a scene-stealer in the theatrical “Spider-Man: Homecoming”…
… but Cam’s “D2” co-star Dove Cameron guest-starred as the voice of Spider Gwen in the “Ultimate Spider-Man” featurette.
We can’t wait to see Cameron, and his character Herman, in action this Saturday!
