When someone dies so tragically, it can be difficult not to fixate on the circumstances surrounding their death.

On June 11, 2016, the world lost a bright and beautiful soul. It seems like every news story talks about how she died. But we’d rather focus on how Christina lived. It’s true, the last minutes of her life were tragic, but there were 22 beautiful years before that.

So in honor of Christina’s birthday, let’s celebrate those, and remember all the ways Christina’s music, spirit and soul touched millions around the world, and carry her memory with us forever.
