After a brave battle with cancer, Robin Twist has passed on

When we saw Harry Styles in LA a few weeks ago, the “Sign of the Times” singer kept talking about how incredible his fans are. Today, his supporters are proving that they are here for him both in the best of times and in the saddest of moments. We are heartbroken to report that Harry’s beloved stepfather Robin Twist has passed away after battling cancer. After news of this tragic loss broke, an outpouring of loving and supportive messages directed at Harry and his family were shared by fans on social media.

Fans first got to know Robin while he was supporting Harry during his pre-One Direction “X Factor” days in 2010, and their throwback pics together are so precious.

Robin married Harry’s mom Anne in 2013. Harry was the Best Man at the wedding, and his older sister Gemma was the Maid of Honor.

Harry’s One Direction bandmate Liam Payne also shared a photo of Robin and Anne on his Instagram, sharing his heartfelt words for the family at this difficult time.

“Harry my heart really goes out to you,” he wrote. “Such an extremely sad day for us all who knew Robin. What a kind, gentle and beautiful soul, a true rarity to find in today’s world. Sometimes they really do take the best of us far too soon. X
