Throwback Thursday: Watch Justin Bieber on “The Simpsons”

On this day in 1989, the show’s very first episode aired!

The Simpsons is such an iconic show! So many celebs have appeared on the series through the years, including Justin Bieber (watch his cameo above!) and Lady Gaga. But did you know that the band Fall Out Boy is named after a Simpsons character? On the show, Fallout Boy is the sidekick of comic book character, Radioactive Man, and on one episode, Bart’s best friend Millhouse is cast to play him in the movie version of the comic book.

Fast forward to 2001, when pals Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman started playing gigs around Chicago. Fallout Boy was on their list of potential band names, and when an audience member yelled out “Fallout Boy” their fate was sealed. Since then, they’ve gone on to sell over seven million albums and in 2009, they had the honor of playing The Simpsons end credits. Listen below!

The show has had tons of other iconic moments, like having Justin Bieber’s voice on the show! Watch JB make his Simpsons appearance below.
