#TransformationTuesday: Cozi Zuehlsdorff

See the star’s inspiring journey from Florida to “Freaky Friday”

We went to the NYC premiere of Disney Channel’s newest movie/musical last night and it was not only hilarious, but also full of important messages about family and loving yourself! Check out the trailer:

The film stars Florida native Cozi Zuehlsdorff, who’s an incredible actress and singer, and a prolific songwriter. Let’s take a look at her incredible path to superstardom.

In 2011, Cozi scored her first major movie role, playing Hazel in “Dolphin Tale.” Look how little she was!

The flick was so popular, it got a sequel, and we got to hear Cozi sing for the first time. She wrote the song, too!

That same year, she released her debut EP, “Originals” and also wrote every single track on it! How impressive is that?

But that didn’t mean she put her acting on hold. You may remember her as Ocean on “Liv and Maddie.”

And as Jordan on “Mighty Med.”

However, Cozi never stopped making music. We’re obsessed with “Handpainted,” a song she wrote after having dinner with a friend who was struggling with her self-esteem:

“To be unhappy with ourselves is to shield our eyes from the glory pumping through our veins,” she explains. “We are created. We are loved. We are just as we should be.”

How beautiful is that? It’s amazing to see how far Cozi has come and we can’t wait to hear and see more from her.

Stay tuned for exclusive interviews with Cozi, coming soon to YSBnow, and don’t miss “Freaky Friday” on Disney Channel August 10th!
