While it seemed that Storm Reid burst onto the scene in 2018’s A Wrinkle in Time, the truth is that the Atlanta native was grinding for years before she landed her big break. In 2013, she made her feature film debut in the critically-acclaimed 12 Years a Slave, which won Best Picture at the 2014 Academy Awards. Five months later, Storm attended a Teen Choice Awards after party, where a reporter asked her who she looks up to most in the industry. “Zendaya,” Storm replied. “She’s a fashionista, I just love her acting, and I think she’s really cool.”

Fast forward six years, and the feeling is mutual! Storm and Zendaya got to know each other after being cast as sisters in HBO’s Euphoria. Watch Storm talk about Zendaya below, and spill on their chance pre-fame meeting at a Ben & Jerry’s in Burbank, California.
