Jordan Fisher Shares How Corbin Bleu Inspired Him To Pursue Acting

When Jordan saw “High School Musical,” he knew music and acting were his callings.

Chances are, you grew up loving Corbin Bleu in the “High School Musical” movies. Well, Jordan Fisher did too! The singer and actor has long been inspired by Corbin’s fantastic career, and shared exactly why he has inspired him.

Jordan has followed a similar type of career as Corbin, appearing on Disney Channel projects, and even joining the latest season of “Dancing with the Stars.” But before Jordan ever started out, he says he saw himself in Corbin – something major for him.

“From career to the look to the personality, it’s kind of like looking in a mirror. I remember watching ‘High School Musical,’ he came on and I was like, ‘Whoa! He looks like me! I’ve never seen a mixed kid doing film and TV,’” Jordan told People. “That was the moment where I went, ‘That’s what I want to do. That’s what I want to do.'”

Just another amazing example of why representation is so important.

Recently, Jordan got to work with Corbin on “Dancing with the Stars.” If you remember, Corbin was the runner-up on Season 17 of the show himself. “We’ve been friends for years and had such parallel careers, but we’ve never actually worked together,” Jordan shared during the experience. Now they can officially say they’ve shared the stage!

Judging by their photos together, it seems like Jordan and Corbin had a blast working together on DWTS.

Their performance came together perfectly, too. They truly lit up the dance floor, dancing with pro Lindsay Arnold.
