WATCH: The First Official “Descendants 3” Teaser Video Is Here!

Plus, we *finally* have a description of the movie’s plot.

If it feels like you’ve been waiting *very* patiently for new updates on “Descendants 3” for ages, you’re about to be majorly rewarded by Disney Channel’s latest surprise. This evening, the network dropped the first official teaser video for the upcoming movie — which is set to premiere in Summer 2019. 

In addition to wowing us with some stellar footage from the film, Disney also shared the first plot description for D3, so we can finally know what the story will be all about!

“Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce) and Jay (Booboo Stewart) — return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep,” Disney Channel revealed in a movie description. “When a barrier breach jeopardizes the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on the kingdom.”

“Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it’s up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet,” the network added.

This literally sounds like the most incredible continuation of the popular film franchise. We can’t wait to see it in action.
