From Will Jay to JB, we promise these will put you in the spirit
By Arielle Schunk
Each holiday season I attempt to restrain myself from listening to holiday music until after Thanksgiving has passed. But alas, in recent years, I have realized how difficult this simple task can be. This year, I have made it until this very moment (I’m pretty impressed with myself, last year I broke on November 1). Let’s take a few moments to embrace all of this early listening and appreciate these holiday melodies (*many of which are covers):
1. “Shake up Christmas” by Train – You may remember this song from the Coke commercial. It’s one of the most cheery holiday pop songs out there!
2. “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande – SLAY Ariana, SLAY.
3. “Last Christmas” – Long live “Glee” and their amazing covers.
4. “The Chanukah Song” by Adam Sandler – Without Adam Sandler, what would we do? Let’s really be honest here:
5. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Frank Sinatra – A classic that we all need to appreciate.
6. “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” – Because Michael Buble’s version could serenade me all the way into summer.
7. “Hoping For Snow” by The Vamps – We’re hoping for concert tix to see these 4 Brit rockers!
8. “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by ‘N Sync is a boy band gold:
9. “My Only Wish (This Year)” by Britney Spears. YAS Brit:
10. “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber – Christmas 2011 feels like sooo long ago!
11. “Last Christmas” – Yes I put this song on here twice, because the T. Swizz Version is everything, too!
12. “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by 1D, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, & more is a stunning MUST listen.
13. “Ludacrismas” by Ludacris – PSA: Luda has a Christmas song and everyone else needs to know this is a thing. That’s all.
14. “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano – Another classic!
15. “Christmas Come Early” by Will Jay is definitely giving us all the holiday feels. Will Jay? More like Will Bae. Plus, PUPPIES!
